Our Process

Step One: Consult and Booking your Appointment

We will have a phone/email consultation to determine if your dog is a candidate. We can discuss your dog’s previous dental history, and what your expectations are for the service.

We can offer you two different options for service:

  1. You can arrange to drop off of your under 35lbs dog at the private home office in downtown just off of 17th AVE.

  2. We can come to your home and provide the service in a quiet location. You are welcome to assist, or to step away if needed. You can book this consultation by sending me an email here.

Step Two: The Appointment

Your small dog will be placed on their back on a soft bed between our legs and we will use hand held human grade dental instruments to scale the inner and outer surfaces of the teeth. We will take before and after pictures to document the service. The teeth will be hand polished with an all natural polish powder at the end of the scaling. The whole service takes about 90 mins.

Our Methods:

  • wrap smaller dogs in a towel and lay on back

  • each dog gets a fresh set of linens

  • use fingers to open the mouth

  • use a hand held scaler

  • polish with all natural polish powder

  • no drugs or sedation of ANY kind

  • takes about an hour or so

  • lots of praise and reassurance

Vet Referrals:

If upon initial check we find teeth that look suspicious, we will bring them to your attention and we can discuss what can be observed and take pictures for your vet. We do charge a $30.00+ tax booking fee which includes the consultation, report , and photos.

If we incur costs to come to your residence, there will be a travel fee for the time dependent on the distance travelled and a scaling fee charged by time if any services are rendered..

**Anesthesia free teeth cleaning is NOT a replacement for regular veterinary care.

Step Three: After the appointment

You’ll receive an electronic report of observations of your dog’s mouth, as well as photos. We will discuss home care and a recommended recall schedule, as well as any areas which should be monitored moving forward. You’ll be given a toothbrush for your dog and we can discuss how you can support your dog at home!
